We adopted a kitten recently who was in danger of being euthanised the reason he seems to be mute! So far Alvin {which means Elf Friend} hasn't said a word, he eats, poos, pees and acts like any other 6 month old cat, but not a meow or purr has passed his lips..Our vet thinks his vocal chords failed to form during his development in the womb this isn't a problem for us, but we find it incomprehensible that his owners would feel obliged to end his life because he's unable to speak.

cats can often tell you what they think without making sound. If that cat stuck his claws in I think you'd know exactlhy what he was thinking.
